IWC IW3255-04 wrist watches news:
One of the most interesting watch fairs in the world is the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair?(put on by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council). Celebrating its 31st year, the 2012 fair will run from September 5 - 9 at the Hong Kong Convention Centre. This year aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer will be there, checking out the "world's biggest timepiece event." Is it bigger than BaselWorld? I will let you know. BaselWorld is rather massive and I've never actually been able to see it all. I am calling for recruits to help me divvy up next year's event. Hello Everyone,This is my first post to this forum, and I did do some searching and read the FAQ, so hopefully this is not a noob post that has been answered previously...With that disclaimer out of the way....here is my question.I have a Speedmaster Automatic, about 8 years old, that needs service. I had to do an emergency car wash on my wife's car with a high-pressure hose, and forgot to take my watch off. (A special thanks to the lazy-a** painter who left that open paint can in the back of his truck!)Anyway, the next day, there was some condensation on the inside of the crystal. Now, about 48 hours later...it appears to be gone, but I figure that I should have the watch checked out. Still keeping time just fine. It hasn't been serviced in about 3 years. That last service was done by Leo Hamel in San Diego, when the watch started picking up time for no reason. Since then, no problems until yesterday with the condensation. So, the questions are:1 - who would be recommended servi
Don't know if this has been discussed before, but which is better Kinetic or Eco-Drive? What are the pro/con, durability, etc between the two? Experiences with either technology is welcome
For me, Bedat and Clerc.Great quality and wa-a-a-y under even most watch geeks' radar. The downside is the parts thing if they ever break.
Contemplating buying this watch. Can you share with me your thoughts on this watch proscons, I have a gold Rolex, wondering if I'd really like the rose gold.Thoughts? Thanks,George
