Invicta 18294 wrist watches news:
Bausele's brand slogan is "Australian Soul - Swiss Made." It should probably be changed to "Australian Soil - Swiss Made." Why? See that rather obviously too-large crown? Well, it is filled with one of three choices of dirt! Not just any dirt, Australian dirt, mate. The crown is like a little canister with a see-through window at its end. You can order your Bausele watch with a crown filled with Australian red sand, surf sand, or coal. Coal? Why coal? Doesn't the old Christmas myth about gifts with coal in them mean that person getting them has been bad? And not bad in an impressive way. There is probably some manner of explanation on the Bausele website - maybe you can find it in the "Aussie Soul" section.Anyway, this collection from the "down under" brand is called the Surf Watch. There is also a Yachting watch, and another type of watch I've never seen before made for wine bars. I don't think the wine bar has anything to do with wines or bars, but Bausele does claim that it "will nev
I picked it up from the post office yesterday! Here are some pics:I love the box it was shipping in! Now, let's see:Naturally, I quickly checked if the chronograph hand is not resetting properly. It does! NO more fingerprints/smudge on the chronograph hand, either:Compared with how it looked before:I did ask Rolex to polish my watch, but apparantly they did not do that! But when I look at it, I can understand why they chose not to polish it. After all, it still looks brand new:Here are some fresh wristshots and a complimentary new "TKF screen shot":It feels SO good to have my baby back on my wrist!
I only spent $41 on this one. It looked better on the Bay, then when I got it today. So I decided that I this would be a watch I'd disassemble (of course not the movement) and clean up and see what happens. Unfortunately, the caseback had a number of gouges in the rolled gold (thankfully Elgin layered it on thick) as if someone it the past was trying to make a spot to pry the caseback off. There also was a small, but deep gouge on the bezel.Once I took it apart, I used my Dremel on the bezel gouge. I wore it down and cleaned it out. Now, diminished, and with the gold showing, you'd have to look close to see it. I did the same to the caseback gouges. They were too deep to wipe out, but now the gold shows, and visibly they are less noticeable.Once I popped the crystal out, I cleaned the brushed ring which is part of the case and rings the dial. It seems at some point, it must have had a thin veneer of gold on it, but I guess with time and dirt, it flaked off. I removed the dirt
Lots of opinions shared on the forum lately about the various dials on the Royal Oak. Great discussions. Personally, I struggle with being able to read some dials without my readers on, (sucks getting old). The new ruthenium just does't do it for me, to my eye it just has no pop, not interesting, no offence to any owners. The blue would be redundant ion my collection plus the surcharge. The black and silver are my two considerations. Both have their benefits, not concerned about opinions as to what is best. For those who have seen both side by side Here is my question - Which colour dial is the most legible?Thx
Hi Omega aficionados,I'm not sure if there is a single thread about pictures of Omega watches on leather, rubber and nato straps. I just thought it would be nice to seem them all together under one thread. Thanks in advance and keep the pictures coming p.s. I don't have an Omega yet as of this moment but I'm planning to get a Speedy hopefully soon.
