Small issue with quartz Omega
I have owned my brand-new Omega 2221.80 Seamaster Pro quartz for about 3 months now and I love the watch. It keeps perfect time (only picked up a second over the last 6 weeks). My only concern is with the date. For the past few weeks I have noticed that in the morning when I put my watch on (around 6:15 am) the date is not centered in the date window. You can just barely see the bottom of the previous date. With a little shake, the date lines up and is fine until the next morning when the same thing happens again. I did bring it in to the AD I purchased from and they thought the issue may be that the lubricants may have "settled" so they ran the watch through all 31 dates to see if that helped, which it didn't.So my question is should I send it in for warranty repair? Has anyone experienced anything like this? Thanks for your help.

You know you have lost your mind when you start buying things from the FACTORY that made your watches.I just purchased what was described as the Glass from the DOOR of the Engraving department of the Illinois Watch Factory!Farrell Gay purchased the Factory many years ago and the owner of thispiece must have gotten this from him after that. She told me that Farrellknew of this piece and it was indeed the real deal!Imagine the feeling knowing that this huge piece was going to be shipped half way across the country and had to get here in ONE pieceit is Glass and very HEAVY to say the least!Wellit MADE it!!! I payed the seller a boatload for extra special shipping, but it was worth it!That is an apple at the bottom for size comparison.What I am guessing it is may have hung above a door for airThere are hinges at the bottom and a chain to pull it.Interestingly enough, I have a door Handle from the factory and it is porcelain...Now All I need is the door itself!Pretty Neat...

A very nice Glashutte that snuck under my radar...
..stopped by a local store here in Tampa and saw for the first time this gorgeousGlashutte Senator Sixties Square Chrono. I was familiar with their regular chronos,but this square version totally snuck undar my radar. Both were great looking butthat flat black dial was something else !! Opinions on 15400 RG RO on strap ?
I recently sold my Rolex YG PN Daytona on black strap because, as beautiful as it was, I couldn't read it (I know, have my Lasik touched up!) and because I prefer a brown strap. Presently all my watches are on bracelets and I would really like to add a strap reference.Although I recently acquired a SS 15400 (7.5 wrist), which I love, the same model in rose gold with the brown alligator strap is simple and beautiful. And as I prefer a dressier watch without complications, they could easily coexist in my collection. With BNIB prices in the 24k range,it seems like a good deal.Obviously the AP bug has bitten me and I know it is my choice to make but I respect the experience and expertise of my fellow forum members. Feel free to express your thoughts.BTW- I have posted a few new aquisitions this year but they have been a result of my selling off my Daytonas for the aforementioned reason.

Hey guys, I grabbed this piece about two weeks ago. After some suggestions, I think it is the perfect Patek for me in terms of bridging a casual lifestyle with some dress attributes. I decided I really can't go to a more dress watch at this stage of my life, but this one is a good intermediary. I am very happy with the decision. I played with the new zoom on the iPhone.....my pics always suck anyway.
