An Automatic that runs on a battery?
I found a Timex at the bay that had this line in the description: "CLASSIC LOOK WITH THE CONVENIENCE OF AN AUTOMATIC". I sent an inquiry about the watch asking if it indeed the watch was a mechanical watch and here is the reply: "That has a battery powered quartz movement that never needs to be wound. Like an automatic watch.It is 37-38mm wide without including the crown.Regards,Oh those sellers at the bay! It appears "the convenience of an automatic" now means quartz.

Hi all, I've just joined the forum, i love it :) I've been reading this forum for a while, and I was wondering if some members could help me out choosing a new watch to start my collection, since even though I've been reading quite a bit, i'm still quite new to all this.Not long ago I decided to get a new watch after seeing an Armani watch that I liked, and then I realized that I really like watches so maybe i should start collecting them.
