IWC 3513 wrist watches news:
I just wanted to practice my skills at detecting originals...cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=310158319564Question to the specialists:Redial or not ?Personally I think it's a redial.Letter font seems strange and it doesn't say "conquest calendar" like I think it should.
You guys around here are causing my wallet to flatten out!!!!The big brown truck arrived yesterday with a 1950 10K filled Lambert. It's gorgeous with a restored dial, new crystal etc. It came with a wine colored croc strap which is too short, I have a 7.5 inch wrist. So, off I went to my jeweler seeking a new band. You guessed it, he says, "I have something here you may like." So, he produces a really large square 10K gold filled Hamilton Auto from the late 50's to early 60's (I think). It's really large for a Hammie. I'd estimate it to be about 38MM, with numbers at 12,2, 4,6,8, and 10. Stick markers for the others. Sweep second hand, and a gold dial. Plastic crystal. I've never seen a Hamilton with this large a case. So, I traded him a brand new still in the wrapper Omega Speedmaster band which I paid $125.00 for a few months ago. Bought it for my MKII, but prefer the rubber diver band on it. I saw a couple of Speedies in his shop with the wrong bands...So, we did an even swap. The w
I'd love to get some of your opinions on which watch, Omega Seamaster Professional or Tag Carrera, you like better and why? Which is watch is built better and what brand (Omega or Tag) builds a better watch in general? Your opinions will probably determine my next watch.
from pocketlint:18 October 2006 12:29 GMT - It seems designers have been racing each other to design the world's smallest LED wristwatch, and the competition has been won by Tokyoflash Japan. The Restu has a futuristic design, with a line of lights corresponding to digits. The lights race up the watch and stop at the number to be read. This is repeated for each number to tell the time. Not quite as simple as glancing at a traditional clockface, then. As for statistics, we've got them. The Retsu measures 8mm and weighs 40g. It comes with a chic black suede strap, and costs 14,900yen.
In all likelihood, my next watch will be the AP 15400 Blue faced boutique-only edition. I was in the NYC Boutique this weekend with the wife trying it on, and speaking with the sales associate. Even though I think that the boutique is my only option for buying, he tried to sell me on the benefits of it anyway. He noted the 5 year - instead of standard 2 year - warranty, as well as their concierge service. Obviously the 5 year warranty is awesome, but does anyone actually use the concierge service? Are there any other benefits other than the free swag I've seen posted here before?
