IWC IW500113 wrist watches news:
To avoid confusion with the DSSD, perhaps the subject line should read, "Images of my new SD".Per my other recent post, here's some quick shots of the newest member of the collection, K serial Sea Dweller. I just realized I didn't snap a good closeup of the lug holes, which is one of the main reasons I bought this particular watch. I'll have to remedy that ASAP.It's in great condition and was well cared for over the last 6 yrs. I've found my perfect weekend watch!!Looking at the images, I just can't stop thinking that the designers just got this one right. It's so utilitarian, but at the same time aesthetically pleasing. Rolex just got it right with the SD.
I will be in Chicago thanksgiving week 21-26 Nov. Having seen Stan's post on the Elgin Museum, I will hire a car and go for a day trip up there - and take my Pershing with me for a trip home.Does anyone have any other suggestions of things to do, places to visits, or great junk shops to visit? I'll be staying just off the golden mile, so downtown - but I could keep the car longer for compelling reasons . It is a work trip - so I won't have all week sadly, but I am sure I can borrow the odd day or two. After that I'll be off to Germany, and make a side trip to switzerland - to see if I can hunt down some Gruen locations, I will have to look into if the buildings still exist, take in the Omega museum and visit Solothurn.I'll be in San Fran 13th-15th, so are there any interesting horological things to find there?Kris.

Hi everyone, I'm from Singapore and this is my first post.I just bought the AP ROO RGRC last week from the local AP dealer and I love it to death. This is my 3rd AP ROO. I had the themes(got rid of it), bumble bee and now the RGRC. I have always wanted the RGRC and finally have it on my hands now. :) AP has done a wonderful job with the updated version, love the darker face and gold rings around the subchronos. I also went down to the AP svc centre and changed to the hornback leather strap in rose gold stitching. I think it's an upgrade thats worth every cent. Sorry but I'm just not a big fan of the rubber strap on the rose gold at least.
Hi all, very excited to be getting my first Patek tomorrow . A black dial 5980 stainless steel. It's been my grail watch for a few years, and with the news that its being discontinued I wanted to get it whilst I could - unfortunately that meant selling my collection of 3 Rolexes, so for the time being at least it will be my one and only! Will post some pics tomorrow. Any advice to a Patek newbie would be gratefully received
