IWC Ref. 810A , EDELSTAHL wrist watches news:
hello, would anybody happen to have any information on a hamilton pan europ.this would be really appreciated ,pics included, also a possible estimate of the value.rgrds paul..
Hello all, I am a new member to WTF and was hoping some Patek Philippe experts can help me learn about a watch I recently aquired. It seems like a pocket watch that was converted to a wrist watch. The dial has been refinished and it seems to me like it may have originally had the seconds sub dial in the 6 o'clock position instead of the 9 o'clock position. The movement is signed "Patek, Philippe & CE", "No 151853", and "GENEVE" where the CIE is actually a CE with the E underlined. The case is a custom made case and does not provide me with any information regarding the type of watch it is. Also, the movement/dial diameter seems to be about 28mm. According to an antique appraiser, it seems like the serial number dates to 1910. Both the appraiser and another jeweler believe it is an authentic movement. Please note that the "Patek" labeled on the movement is not faded but the angle and picture quality seems to make it look like that (I took these pictures with a phone camera).
I'm a college student so my budget isn't all that great right now. However, it's the Holidays and I'm in the market for a watch that's both respectable and affordable. I'd like to get a black leather strap, I've already got a couple of watches that have big metal straps that I just find are too flashy when wearing a suit or dressing formally, I'd prefer something that is sleek and elegant. I'm a huge fan of the Tag Heuer CarreraI tried one on at a jewelry store recently and the pictures for this link just don't justify the quality and elegance that it has in person. I'm not 100% sure that the one I tried on was a Calibre 5 but it certainly was similar. CARRERA Calibre 5 Automatic Watch 39 mm Black opalin Alligator skin bracelet | TAG Heuer I know there's got to be a decent watch out there that has similar style and is in the $200 range (give or take a few bucks). I've heard that the Seiko Dive SKX watches are highly respectable and good quality watches which can often be had for unde
