IWC 3700 d / 160 Cal 790 wrist watches news:
Hi I can see that this is the most common question on the forum and I apologise in advance but is this an authentic Longines?Longines male watch back of watch is markedserial number 35810163 and the case is marked ¡®FLAGSHIP, L4.774.4, REGISTR.MOD, ALL STAINLESS STEEL, SWISS MADE¡¯I have emailed Longines (Swatch) customer service but haven't had a reply yet.Can anyone help by casting an experienced eye over it please? Thanks
I'm having a really tough time deciding which to keep. I like the seamaster but dont care for the yellowing of the painted markers..what do you guys think??
After much thought (and input from this board) I kept both the ALS 1815 Chrono and the Patek 5205r. Traded a couple other pieces (JLC Deepsea Chrono and IWC Chrono Classic) and a lot more cash for this 2006 edition in great condition. Thanks to Steve at Tarrytown Jewelers for making it happen. I think I'm done... for a while. Happy fourth to all.
So I'm interested in the 5167 as a possible option as the next watch and have a few questions about it... 1) It's 40mm- anybody with 6 wrists care to chime in on if it looks too big or not? I've heard this wears bigger than 40mm2) Tropical strap- how durable is it? Does it last as long as a leather strap? Does it get sticky where lint collects on it? Does it crack after awhile? Any problems or complaints with it?3) I've read around that the rotor is loud. How loud? I don't want my wrist to be making a noticeable whizzing sound during a meeting or something4) Is it easy to find a leather strap from say, Camille Fou and easy to put it on the aquanaut? What about adding on the clasp onto a leather strap?5) What does the dial look like- in some pics it looks like a fairly straight foward black dial and other picks it almost looks like it's got a black Rolex sunburst type look to it?AND regarding the 5167R...1) how dark is the brown strap?2) Is it easy to match up with clothes, for
Hi!New to the board. It's a trove of information, and certainly helped me learn quite a bit. I purchased a used YM and it arrived today. One thing I noticed is the bezel rotation is quite smooth. Certainly smoother than my submariner. My sub's bezel rotation is tighter and the notches, or individual clicks, are much more pronounced. Is this a normal characteristic of the YM? It is a M-series, so '07/'08... if that matters. Thanks in advance!Andrew
