Seiko Seiko 41582 wrist watches news:
Quick question apart from the serial number at the 6,how eles can you identify a rolex, reason i ask my friend had an old gmt pepsi on last week he just bought it from ebay, has box but no papers (already told him he is an idiot) can't make out the serial number,i told him this does not look good, but it is a genuine rolex,so if he opens it up can he identify the watch ?
Looking for input on quartz divers. I like divers as my everyday beater watch (i.e. all time not in the office) - clean, simple, functional, good water resistance, date, analog, good lume. Currently, I have an O&W M4 that fills this purpose which I really love. The problem - I am very active and the watch takes a routine beating. Although I don't have any major issues with the movement (ETA 2824-2), I find that on particularly abusive days with many small shock loads, it gains much more than normal.Although not obsessed on absolute accuracy, I don't like the inconsistency I am experiencing, and never know how off the time really is. This is leading me to look at quartz divers as an alternative to an automatic movement. My selection is down to the following 2: Priscista 89 quartz and Seiko Prospex perpetual calender SBCM023. Both seem to be similar in size, which is smaller than many divers (i.e. under 40 mm diameter), and similar in size to my current M4.Would anybody have c
I'm thinking of such a combination, but want to see some examples first. Her are the possible combos I'm considering:Tissot Powermatic 80 Luxury.JPGTissot_powermatic_80_montre4_640_360_s_c1_center_center.jpgcrown and buckle.jpgcrown and buckle black.jpg

Hi all,I am wondering about the design logic (i.e. proportionality) of the wide lugs of the present-day Sub (116610).When you look at the Sub, if you were to place the watch flat on a sheet of paper, put the tip of your pencil at the edge of the case close to the 9 o'clock marker, and then trace along the edge of the case progressing towards the lug, then continue that line on it's trajectory, would it eventually meet the bracelet? If so, where? (Perhaps at the clasp?) If not, would the line parallel the taper of the bracelet? (i.e. Is there a mathematical relationship between the proportionality/taper of the case and bracelet?)Any ideas or opinions very welcome. Thanks,David
