To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the ¡°Poin?on de Gen¨¨ve¡± quality hallmark, Chopard unveils a limited edition of its L.U.C XPS model enhanced with a date window. This watch is powered by Chopard’s in-house L.U.C Calibre 96.01-L (L.U.C 1.96). Despite its demure 3.3mm thickness, this self-winding movement offers a date display and twin barrels with a 65 hour power reserve. The ¡°Poin?on de Gen¨¨ve¡± was established in 1886 to ensure a very high level of quality. 2011 marks the 125th anniversary of this Genevan horological institution. To mark the occasion, Chopard Manufacture, which since 1996 has seen a substantial proportion of its movements earn the ¡°Poin?on de Gen¨¨ve¡±, presents an 18-karat rose gold commemorative L.U.C XPS model in a 125-piece limited edition. This 18-karat rose gold timepiece features a chocolate-brown sunburst satin-brushed dial bearing the ¡°Poin?on de Gen¨¨ve¡± logo at 12 o¡¯clock. Hi All:I am currently discussing the possible purchase of a V series (2008?) Sea Dweller Deep Sea from a sponsor of this forum. I am looking for your collective advice on what you think is a "fair" offer for this timepiece. I am aware that there are those of you who strongly believe this is an over-engineered and over-priced timepiece (what rolex isn't?), but I like the chunkier 44mm version of the submariner-on-steroids model. I am looking for advice from those of you who like this timepiece. What would you pay? Thanks in advance for your responses.Gary
OK we are all familiar with "Swiss Made" on watch faces but has there actually ever been any American made watches with "American Made" on the face??
Hi, Ive been googling and googling, but I can't find any information on this watch. Much less other pictures of it.Does anyone know the history? Such as, when it was made, or when this model was being stocked, why it was discontinued, etc?Does anyone have this watch - Id love to hear more about it. The reason why is its yet another watch gift and I think its beautiful, just not as easily researchable for some reason. Here is a pic:$T2eC16RHJG8E9nyfnT5+BQRl2ZE2cw~~60_3.jpg
Hey everyone... Debating between an Omega 46mm Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono (blue dial, blue rubber strap) and a 44mm Breitling Bentley GT or 46mm Navi World, again blue dial/blue leather strap... No, I don't dive, and no I'm not a world traveler, I just like the the larger sized chronos and the blue/blue is a must for me So, any thoughts between the 2? Better watch, brand, finish, movement, resale etc...Thanks for the help
