Incoming Coronado.... almost!
Ever have one of THOSE days!? Over the weekend a fairly well know watch auction took place, including a rather nice Coronado that had caught my eye about a week earlier. At about the same time, a watch friend of mine told me (and a few others who shall remain nameless unless they choose to acknowledge so) that he was looking to acquire a nice white Coronado for his personal collection. I told this friend of his luck with the impending auction, and he asked me to do him a favor and bid as he would not be in a location/situation that would easily allow him to do so. (I've known him for many years, and I have bid (and won) for him a few other times, so I was glad to help.) After a few emails with the auction house (I was interested in a few lots), I emailed the auction house's owner last Wednesday and was told that the safest way to bid was on their on-line site before noon Friday. Hello allI inherited the longines time piece from my late grandfather what i know about it is that it was gifted to him by his fater in law around 1940 and that it is manual wind mecha ism the mechnism has the serial number of 5999018 which places it around 1939 which makes thestory match..but thats it i would appreciate any additional info bout the watch also if anybody can recomend a renovation website as it has seen better times .Thanks in advanceOzzie84egy
