Finally taken the plunge!
After months of deliberation over what to buy I finally opted yesterday for a Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronograph Co-Axial Chronometer (Don't think I've missed anything!). I had the watch lined up against 2 Brietlings - Super Avenger and Superocean; and Tag Heuer Calibre 17. Choice came down to the Seamaster and the Tag but I didn't take long to pick! I'm absolutely smitten by the watch but I'd appreciate any advice on ownership. This is my first watch over ��500 so this is new territory for me!Managed to negotiate 17.5% off the price which was a bonus, but having to buy the wife a labradoodle in return!

Out And About...
Out and about yesterday, I found myself, as I so often do, at Costco.I looked at their watches, and my eye was drawn to a very large Ritmo. I've heard of that brand here before, but never really considered it. As it was right in front of me, though, I checked it out.The first thing I noticed was how light it was. The case had to be 50mm, but it was light; almost too light. Upon further examination, I noticed that the lugs, and a surround encompassing the case, were plastic. I found this surprising and, frankly, a tad worrisome. I don't think I'd ever consider a watch with plastic lugs like this one had.It was a nice looking watch. Like I said, it was big, with a blue face and a blue unidirectional bezel (which actually wasn't too tight, as it rotated back a few ticks).I've no idea where it's made; indeed, I don't know much about it at all.Anyone here care to comment on Ritmo watches?

What are your opinions on the lug holes?
I really dislike the lug holes of the watches from the RO and ROO line. I think it takes away from the aesthetics of the watch and looks ugly and old fashioned. The daytona looks beautiful without the lug holes and i wish AP would get rid of them. I am considering the 15400 and i think it would be perfect without the lug holes. Do you think AP will ever remove them?
