Invicta 18876 wrist watches news:
A friend trusted me with his mother's watch to fix as a present for his grandaughter. It is signed Fleetwood USA. I wanted to share it with you and maybe get some info about the company. I can't find anything on the web.The movement wasn't winding because someone had lost a bushing that positions the crown wheel on its post. I tapped in a gold jewel setting and filed it flush. A little over the top maybe but it was from some pocket watch parts I bought at some point. It ought to make some future horologist scratch his head. The movement has a feature I haven't seen before. A thin plate that screws on top of the barrel bridge and holds down the crown wheel and the click. It is running strong but only sets in one direction. And roughly at that so I need to look for more damage to the clutch or set wheel. The crown is delightful. I assume it is original.Anyone know who Fleetwood was and if the made men's watches also?Joel
Picked up a mint 15300 this afternoon. I've been in the market for past few months for an h serial white dial 15300 or 26300 ROC but have not had any luck. I decided to go for the black dial today.
I just picked this up and it's a real sporty looking watch IMO . I bought the bracelet also for a change of pace. What do you think??Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Hi there Can I ask how many total links for Rolex submariner ceramic version and old version?Somebody says 13 links was full link for both types?
I am looking into getting a new watch, and was told to look into getting a vintage ss sports watch.I was never really keen on vintage (I'm using pre-ceramic as a reference), I always preferred the weight and size of the modern watches(ceramic), but I have told numerous times vintage ss sports watches are better. Is their an objective reasoning that many argue vintage is better than modern? Are the movements better, more durable, more reliable?
