Invicta 14410 wrist watches news:
As a unique collaboration with the MIH (the Mus¨¦e International d¡¯Horlogerie), Zenith introduces a great new member of their Captain family of watches. With a base in-house made El Primero Chronograph movement, Zenith and the MIH have developed a special new module that adds a very legible and practical annual calendar complication to the mix. In total you get the high-beat El Primero automatic movement, a 60 minute chronograph, and an annual calendar with the date, day, and month. All that and a lit Ludwig.Ludwig? Yea, you know Ludwig right? I of course mean Ludwig Oechslin, and by MIH I really him. He is the curator of the MIH and a friggin' genius. One of his most interesting achievements was the creation of the "trilogy" set of astronomical watches for Ulysse Nardin in the 1990s. Oechslin is unique because he didn't start his life as a watch maker until he was about 30. Before that he was a mathematician. He is particularly good at engineering concepts requiring complex calculation
A few years ago, this was my most frequently worn watch. I still love it!Cheers!Johan
I am thinking of getting an Invicta 9937OB priced at ¡ê239 here in the UK. However, after doing a little research, Invicta's reputation is putting me off and after looking around for another Rolex Submariner look-a-like I stumbled on the Steinhart Ocean 1 priced at ¡ê290.00. The question is: Would I be better off saving a bit more money and going for the Ocean 1 or stick to my original plan and get the 9937OB? I noticed that the Ocean 1 is labelled "Swiss made" as opposed to "Swiss movement" on the Invicta, that and the fact that the Ocean1 has a sapphire window as opposed to the "flame fusion" offering on the Invicta suggests to me that the quality of the Steinhart is probably a bit better. Is it?Any answers would be appreciated.Thank you.
After spending too much time on this section of TRF I purchased my first AP a few months ago (diver). My fianc¨¦e made me promise that it would be my last watch purchase until after our wedding (3/23/13). More than anything I wanted to wear my diver on my wedding day but really didn't want to wear it on the rubber strap. I purchased a survivor croc strap and also ordered a ROO bracelet for it but was told it was a 6 month wait for the bracelet. Knowing the the bracelet probably wouldn't be in on time I did what any AP addict would do....convinced the fianc¨¦e I needed a new AP as my wedding day watch. It took some pleading but on Thursday I reached out to DavidSW and this morning my new AP arrived.I think I actually might like this watch more than the diver. The fit is perfect and the way light hits the dial is just amazing. Pretty sure this will be my new daily beater....and thanks to you guys the next two watches on my list are also APs. ROO 44mm and the Millenary 4101 Wrist shotAnd
Thanks to OCROLEXGUY, I have traded my Gold Sub back to him and purchased a 5711 White dial. I am truly a PP guy now.My new go to piece for everyday. Thanks Patrick.
