Invicta 14960 wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we are speaking with Mikael Sandstr?m, the engineer who is now at the helm of Halda, the company that created his first grail watch - well before he owned the company.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Mikael Sandstr?m : I am an engineer, and I have had the pleasure to be in the industry for over 25 years, developing watches. Today, I am the owner and CEO of Halda Watch Co. that started back in 1887.ABTW: When did your fascination with watches start?Mikael Sandstr?m : I have always been fascinated in fine mechanics. This fascination is especially focused on watches, which I find to be the ultimate - and most impressive - example of a small mechanical machine. It's always fun to find a brand you've never heard of, though for us, it happens less and less these days. So, when I stumbled upon Ancon watches a few weeks ago, I was extremely excited. The watches themselves, of which there are 3 distinct models and many variations currently available, are a strange mix of huge modern cases with classic dials. Those who are fam

I know I posted this a few weeks ago, but I think it could stand a second look. I like it more and more ...............Kurt
Just wondering whether or not platinum Patek models are a more limited in supply compared to other precious metals/stainless, and whether there is more flexibility in pricing similar to Rolex (I've been offered various platinum Rolex models at 30%+ off MSRP).The reason I'm curious is that I've been offered what I think is a nice price on a platinum Patek (5196p), when I was really in the market for white gold. However, if these models are more collectible, I might try to negotiate a bit more and stretch the wallet for platinum. Thanks for any input.
