Invicta 12438 wrist watches news:
looking for the technical data on this movement. the watch in question is SCC017. the watch has a solar movement and has a chronograph. I cant seem to find the movement in all of the known watch supply houses. I DID find the VD53 which is a seiko quartz movement with the date between 4 and 5. it looks similar however I need the specs on the V175 and maybe swap the VD53 for the V175. also is the a code for the V175 under another another model. or if someone knows where I can get the V175 movement.
this will be the last watch purchase for a wile being every thing i touch seems to fall apart. auto. movement val. 7750 keeps verry good time but the end of the crown fell in my hand. the watch is not even a month old and i am paying to ship it for repair already.not much faith in swiss made watches at the moment.the watch dady said the crown was tough to pull out but he did not tell me that it could fall apart. i own 2 of these watches and donot know much about the movement and how and why the crown is so hard to pull out.does enyone else have the same watch problem.i hate the time change, to many watches, jim
Hey Everyone,New to Watchtalk, glad to be here! I am trying to identify Pierce Brosnan's watch in the 2005 movie The MatadorThis post is on a few other sites and no luck so far- this is a tough one. The watch has a tonneau case, black dial, 2 tone, quartz (100%), no day or date, simple fold over clasp design. Dial is similar to Bulova but not confirmed, the 12 o'clock marker is stylized but with the photos it is difficult to make out the exact design. Also, the second hand has a little "bubble" to it although not the same as an Omega. It is a budget/indie style film so I'm confident AP didn't give Pierce a watch to advertise! Any thoughts and guesses would be greatly appreciated...IMG00434-20130124-1834.jpgMatador Clasp.jpgMatador_Unknown.jpgMatador_Unknown_e.jpgMatador_Unknown_e0.jpg

Recently became the proud new owner of a stainless steel 5990! Love the watch, but I'm the kind of guy who swaps bracelets for straps in the summer. As such, I'm finding myself wearing my Aguanaut 5167 more than my new 5990 simply because of the bracelet vs strap. Does anyone know of suppliers who can craft a leather strap (or retrofit from another watch) for the 5990?
