IWC IW390211 wrist watches news:
Afternoon, gents;I am currently doing a little research into some of my grandfathers' war memorabilia, and amongst those things were his pocket watch. I have been told the story of this watch by my grandmother, but I have no idea how to verify this information! The watch has NO makers mark or identification, simply 'BREGUET + 31328' (the 'plus' being the swiss symbol) on the movement, and the dial, too, has no mark.I wondered if anyone knew whom might have been the maker of this watch, or any insight at all into a similar one someone might be aware of?Any information or help would be most appreciated,Many thanks
The new Bond film's opening soon....let's see watches on the Bond strap!
The modern: a 2008 ChronoCockpit A13358 with a Valjoux 7750 automatic (Breitling caliber13).The vintage: a 1970 Long Plaing 815.4 with a Valjoux 7736 manual wind....and of course the photo where I finally realized how good the Canon G9 was - and it's the one I'll be submitting when I go gunning for Shayne in the next Breitling Forum masthead competition!I'll always be a dress watch collector, particularly from the 60's but I'm finding myself more & more drawn to chronographs. So if anyone else has an interesting one-two punch fire away! We could always use a few more pictures.
Just curious. Are the 5270 and 5970 blue dial color different ? All pictures are from the internet.20170102_6f168c63a8cce9b9d8be9MbPxYOiUmCo.jpg5970-special.jpg
But I do think this rather cool...
