Ever have one of THOSE days!? Over the weekend a fairly well know watch auction took place, including a rather nice Coronado that had caught my eye about a week earlier. At about the same time, a watch friend of mine told me (and a few others who shall remain nameless unless they choose to acknowledge so) that he was looking to acquire a nice white Coronado for his personal collection. I told this friend of his luck with the impending auction, and he asked me to do him a favor and bid as he would not be in a location/situation that would easily allow him to do so. (I've known him for many years, and I have bid (and won) for him a few other times, so I was glad to help.) After a few emails with the auction house (I was interested in a few lots), I emailed the auction house's owner last Wednesday and was told that the safest way to bid was on their on-line site before noon Friday. just seen limited edition double chrongraph...whie face, orange/red hands. Apparently from Euro 2008 made for home teams. Anyone know of these and if worht collecting. Looks great BTW.

A chrono question from a friend
I don't wear a chrono (usually), so maybe someone here can help me with this. A friend emailed me this question:Maybe you know the answer to this: On my Zodiac chrono, when I time something and then try to re-set the dials, the one that counts the seconds will only return to 5 seconds, not to zero. Is the any way to fix this externally?

Working On The Vintage Valjoux 72 Chronograph Watch Movement.
I didn't like how this movement was running so I disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled with all the Moebius oils and greases, The amplitude was lower that I liked so I found a mainspring that was made for this movement that was slightly stronger and bought a new barrel and arbor and installed the new barrel assembly, I have two balance wheels, one with a older "blue" hairspring and one with a newer "silver" hairspring so I'm going to test both to see which one I like best.........
