Invicta 17047 wrist watches news:
Several years ago I was torn between getting a SMP 2252.50 and a mid-size AT. Ultimately my love of dive watches won out, and I got the SMP which has faithfully adorned my wrist for almost 6 years now. During this whole time, however, I still thought about that AT and would frequently stop by ADs just to look at them. Yesterday I finally took the plunge and got myself the 2504.30. Just snapped a couple quick and dirty shots, and I must say that this is the most "complete" I have ever felt with my watch collection. Wife thinks I am insane because I can't stop looking at my wrist! Like my SMP, this one is a lifelong keeper. Omega cal. 2500c Aqua TerraMy faithful SMP
I wasn't really itching to get another watch (yeah, right), but I was watching this on eBay, and no one had bid on at 5 minutes before it ended. This one slipped under the radar somehow and went for 1/2 to 1/3 of what other 10k and 14k Elgins are going for. Yeah meFirst off, the case and back is 14k gold, making it my first gold watch. I'll wait for GeneJockey's final pronouncement, but perusing his blog (scroll down to the stainless steel retirement watch), it seems I have a 23 jewel 775 manual movementI think Not sure whether this is a late 50's or early 60s watch.I thought the the second hand might be a replacement and wrong for this model, but it matches the one pictured on the watch on his blog. The only question mark is the crown Color wise it matches the watch, but it lacks the Elgin moniker. Now to the watch. It is in very good condition, but not perfectbut I'm more than pleased. The back of the case has a few marks where someone along the way tried to pry the back of

Okay, so I was taking some closeups of my 16623 YM today and upon reviewing the pictures I came across something that puzzled me. In one of the pictures I saw something that I hadn't seen in the others. A little detective work with a magnifying glass and shooting at the right angle and I captured it.Look at the first photo, then the second photo, magnified.Did you all know about this?
