Invicta 17050 wrist watches news:
Destined for near future production, is the Devon Steampunk Tread 1 watch. According to Scott Devon, they wanted to play with steampunk ideas for the Tread 1 as a design study. The customer reaction was so good that production is being fast tracked. This of course is the steampunk styled version of the original Devon Tread 1 that I reviewed here. The final design might change a bit, but these renders will reflect how the final versions will look. I anticipate these being a limited production series which we may see in real life closer to the end of 2012. Devon's designer makes it clear that watches from Romain Jerome (going back to designs from Yvan Arpa, as well as their current Steampunk collection) were a major influence in the design of the Tread 1 Steampunk. At the same time, the larger picture of the industrial revolution and core functional concept of the Tread 1 DNA helped inspired the design.Materials will likely include brass and oxidized metal. It is interesting how the Calif
Well I located another item for my collection, a Rolex Knife and it is the most recent one made by Rolex. It is in like new condition, I am really glad I found it. BTW: I have three Rolex watches and my wife said DIVORCE if I bought another watch so I am collecting Rolex accessories. Now she did not say anything about accessories only watches so I am in the clear for now.
Today I had the misfortune to have removed the back from my Khaki Field Auto 34mm. To my surprise, I found the words "Hamilton China" under the back cover. It was placed on the watch in a place where most people would never look. I will never wear this watch again. I should have known that because the watch only said Swiss on the movement ( as seen through the case back ) that it could be non Swiss. What a disapointment. I did not expect this from Hamilton. So much for the American brand made in Switzerland. How terrible to find out my Hamilton is of CHINESE origin. I wonder how many other Hamiltons are just CHINESE cased watches.
I will present 2 watches .One is a SS watch with an outdated "complication" which is of no use to anyone at allThe second is a gold watch with a stunning automatic movementIf you should ask 99% of watch collectors, I would hazard a guess and say the mojority would value no 2 way above no1However as most of us here know no 1 ranks way above no2.Why??Who knowsThey are both just a beautiful- similar case and similar faceP1010160.jpg2584.jpg
I bought this Elgin as non-working for repair, the original auction pictures were very poor but I could make out the case shape that i thought was very interesting. The watch arrived today and I now have more questions than before. The dial condition looks almost too good to be original which is probably my biggest question. Is anyone familiar with this model and is it all original? Thanks for your comments. The watch is powered by an Elgin 554 15 Jewel movement with a broken balance staff.P1370848.jpgP1370846.jpgP1370852.jpg
