Shoddily translated Japanese to English is an amusing element of our American love for Japanese culture, but we can look beyond the silly phrase to the products underneath.Seiko likes to separate their products into lines and model families. The Galante is just one of these many lines, and is a totally upmarket line from the Japanese watch maker. In fact, the Galante lines are only sold at select Seiko "Master Shops" of which there are only a handful in Japan. Of course there are also some online sales. How do ROO's look when used/abused? Please help with pics or info
Hi everyone,I'm thinking of picking up my very first Audemars Piguet. In a separate thread, I was discussing which of the ROO models to get and I have yet to try them on to decide on which one to settle for. However, looking forward, I wanted to know how these watches look after a little bit of abuse. I have seen Rolex submariners/Explorers being used hardI have seen Panerai's being used like they should I have also seen some Aquanauts and Nautilus' used hard and lovedThese all (to me) look good when they are abused, and little hairline scratches here and there only give character to the watch. I vaguely recall seeing a few Royal Oak Offshores being used hard. But cannot locate those threads or pictures anymore (that was some years ago) I have heard that ROO's, like any AP (even the RO) get scratches pretty easily due to the numerous polishings and finishings on the watch. Nautilus options
I owned a 5726A white dial a few years ago, it was my first Patek. Sadly as many of us do I traded it off. I have owned as many as 14 Pateks at a single time. At this time I am down to seven but looking to add another. Perhaps it is all these Nautilus treads as of late. The only Nautilus I own right now is the 5711. I have owned the 5980R the 5980/1R, 5980/1AR, 5726A-001. I have the bug again and am thinking of another. I have several watches on strap, yet I have a Nautilus 5711 already on bracelet. But still thinking of a strap. I threw in the 5712G too.Which would you pick and why, thx.
