From the first step of stamping the block of stainless steel that'll eventually become a Breitling case, to the finishing touches & high-luster polish of the finished product...A Breitling case blank is 'stamped' out of a single block of stainless steel. In this picture you see the elaborate steps a case will go thru to form it into becoming a Breitling case. on a side view, a raw case blankAfter sanding, grinding & various steps, the semi-finished case has it's shape.The pusher seats are drilled, crown area ready, bezel seat prepped, and case is polished. It's ready to become a Breitling case.Finally it's polished to a mirror-like finish, fitted with the crystal, movement, bezel, crown & pushers and alas - the final product. Perfection! 5711 with shorts and as a daily beater? Post your pictures if you have any!
What do you say?The subject seems to be very debatable whether the Patek 5711 is a good sporty watch to be worn with shorts and casual attire, and as a daily beater, or more of a sporty but dress watch.I already own a SS Rolex which serves the purpose of a beater when I am worried the PP could take a beating.I don't plan on wearing the PP on any physical activities, mountain climbing, to the gym, etc. Just day to day chores, going out with the mates, having drinks at the bar, traveling, etc.I don't play sports with a watch anyways.How do you think the watch holds up as a daily wearer?How do you think the watch looks with just shorts or jeans and a t-shirt.Post pictures of your 5711 treated as a daily wearer.Thanks all
