The Yomiuri ShimbunOSAKAThe Osaka Customhouse on Friday disposed of about 12,000 fake brand goods seized at Kansai Airport and other places. The items, including copies of expensive wristwatches and bags, were destroyed prior to disposal so that they could not be retrieved and sold again. According to the customhouse in Minato Ward, about 567,000 fakes were seized nationwide during the January-September period. While the number decreased by 23.7 percent from the same period last year, the number of seizures increased by 24.6 percent to about 16,000, partly because of a sharp increase in pieces bought overseas on Internet auctions. The customhouse said it would be more vigilant this holiday season, when overseas tourists increase.

Some in-hand observations about the AP Diver (i have used my rolex sea dweller as a reference where i thought it would lend some perspective, not trying to compare the two as they are apples and oranges)In the realm of dive watches, the AP certainly stands out as unique, 1st it is a dive watch without an external bezel, quite uncommon, 2nd It has a movement that is beautifully finished and topped with a 22 carat gold rotor.The internal bezel is a neat complication & works nicely, it gives you a different way to interact with the watch & I like this.
