Breguet has announced that it will be donating a unique Platinum Chronograph Type XXI to the Only Watch auction to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy. The new unique piece stems from the first chronograph made by Breguet in 1935, the type XX, which was created for the French military. 1 OF 1 The Only Watch Type XXI 3813 features a special flyback function featured on the original 1950s model. This allows for the chronograph to reset to zero and restart in one smooth motion. Additionally, the minute-register is centrally located allowing for easy reading. I am mostly partial to round watches, but I have to say this new IWC DaVinci Chrono has caught my eye. It is stunning when you see it in the raw. It is a new IWC in-house movement with a double Pellaton winding system and a unique watch within a watch chono sub dial. The totalizer can be used as a UTC watch, but obviously you can set it only twice per day.BillIWC Publicity Photo, not mineIt wears large on the wrist, but it is not overpowering. Its tonneau shape makes it fit to the arm almost perfectly.

I just finished putting it all back together! I did a ground up 100% restoration on this one. Details: 1915 Elgin, 17 Jewels, Size 3/0s, Grade 423, Serial Number 18628019, Many Solid Gold Parts on the Movement, Real Alligator Band, White Gold Filled Philadelphia Case, Display Case Back, Brand New Cut Glass, Refinished Dial, Refinished Hands, Serviced & Timed. And yes, the original case back is still in tact. According to the Elgin Master Records they only manufactured 500 of this movement and this is number 19.
