Why do nearly all of the quartz models tick instead of sweep the second hand? Its seems it would be very easy to make the quartz sweep like a mechanical movement...Why is this not done? Is it simply a marketing issue?Do manufactures do this to add allure to their mechanical models? Thoughts?
