While eBay is my perennial auction favorite, technically (and legally) speaking, eBay holds no auctions, they merely facilitate auctions between private parties. Regardless, it is my opinion that eBay is the juggernaut of the internet private sales system. However, sometimes you want to indulge in the pomp and circumstance of a traditional auction. Which can be quite exciting for the right type of person. At least you can enjoy the fancy item displays and pictures.Antiquorumwatches-dealer is like Sotheby's for watches (although Sotheby's probably auctions watches as well). Antiquorum holds live (traditional) and online auctions all over the world for passionate watch lovers for watches ranging in the hundreds to the many many thousands. If you have a rare or highly desirable timepiece, it is probably worth going through Antiquorum to get the right audience of potential buyers. Antiquorum of course will take a fee, and probably charge you for "appraisal," but it is all part of the proce
José Bautista crushes baseballs for a living. In 2010, the former part-time player exploded on the scene for the Toronto Blue Jays with a Major League-leading 54 home runs. He hasn't slowed down since; over the past six seasons, he has hit the most home runs in baseball. (Bautista finished the recently completed 2015 season with 40 home runs; his Blue Jays begin the playoffs on October 8th against the Texas Rangers.) And so when all that success led to a lucrative, multi-year contract, José decided to reward himself by rekindling a childhood passion: watches. Every time I see a movement and dial on the swamp being sold without its solid gold case, I am a bit sad. This movement and dial is simply NUTS! See: 280623764416While I know gold is high, this near NOS Tiffany dial and Hamilton movement MUST have been in an equally terrific 14K or 18K case.
I'm getting a curious feeling that I'll be sticking with this one for some time.
Hi everyone .. As many of you know, I am a huge fan of the Rolex Datejust and know an awful lot about them since I own so many of them in different configurations. That being said, I know very little about the Rolex GMT Master, and I am hoping a GMT expert can help me out. I have the chance to buy a 16753 GMT Master which is all original right down to the factory nipple dial. Being that I don't know much about this watch, and being that I am able to find very little information about this reference, I was wondering if someone with knowledge could weigh in on whether or not buying a 16753 would be a better choice over buying a 16713. I want to add a vintage two tone GMT to my Rolex collection, but knowing very little about the GMT scares me a bit because I don't want to make a mistake and buy something that could be problematic in the future as far as service goes. I'm also curious if this is a watch that could increase in value over time. I will be greatful to anyone with and understa
