Chopard 161874-1001 wrist watches news:
With the latest James Bond film "Skyfall" hitting US theaters on November 9th, 2012 Omega has announced a new limited edition model to tie in with the 23rd installment in the franchise. This is distinct from the Omega 50th anniversary of James Bond 007 movies watch. The announcement of the new Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M "Skyfall" Limited Edition confirms that Daniel Craig will again wear a Seamaster PO as he reprises his role as 007. This is despite online rumors that Bond might have traded his famous diver for an Aqua Terra model. Planned for release in Autumn of this year, the Omega Skyfall Limited Edition is essentially a special version of the 42mm Planet Ocean we have showed you in the past and features 600 meters of water resistance, an Omega in-house 8507 Co-axial movement, and a matte black ceramic bezel with a chromium nitride dive scale. Not to be confused with a base 42mm Planet Ocean (ref 232.30.42.21.01.001), the Skyfall LE adds some MI6 flare by replacing the seven o'clo
There are indeed some otherworldly watches coming up for sale this auction season – including these four, and this one, and all these and these. But one watch that may have slipped past your radar is the watch you see here. It doesn't look like much, does it? It's a simple steel Patek Calatrava, but what sits inside – an automatic caliber – coupled with said steel case, is what makes it so special. This is the only known example of the Calatrava reference 2585 – or in other words, it's one of the absolute rarest self-winding watches on the planet. 1 OF 5 Yup, the reference 2585 dates to 1958 and it is the only vintage steel self-winding watch from Patek to house the beautiful caliber 12'''600. This caliber is one of Patek's greatest achievements – its first automatic as seen in the likes of the 2526 – and it has several special traits. The finishing on the 12'''600 is superb, with a stunning engin

Hi thereI'm new to this forum and IWC watches so first up, thanks for the great forum. And now a question for any of you IWC experts out there...In the past few weeks I have been increasingly interested in the Vintage series recently released by IWC, and particularly the Aquatimer Vintage. Then I noticed that Longines also produce a retro style watch called "Legend Diver" which looks very similar to the IWC Aquatimer. Looking at the two watches, there is too much similarity for it to be a coincidence so I can only conclude one was the inspiration for the other (shown here):IWC Vintage Aquatimer 1967.jpgLongines-Legend-diver-watch.jpgThe IWC website states the original Aquatimer was released in 1967 and Longines state that their diver was originally released in 1953. But this seems like too much of a time gap...So....my question is - which watch co. (IWC or Longines) first came up with this design (ie: the look and the functionality of the two crowns and internal bezel)?Any thoughts, muc
After I stopped staring at it, (Which took me about an hour) I went about my business and wasn't aware of it...I took out the Divers Extension...A perfect fit...It's only been a few hours but so far my instincts were correct...A fabulous time piece that is as comfortable as any Sea Dweller I have ever owned...
