Here is a one-of-a-kind Breguet pilot watch that has been made for the Only Watch 2015 auction event that will take place in Geneva this November. We don't take much stock in watch auctions, but we like to make an exception for Only Watch when it at least comes to noticing the lots available ¨C since each of them are, by the rules of the event, "unique." For Only Watch 2015, Breguet has produced this platinum-cased, vintage-inspired version of one of my favorite pilot watches, the Breguet Type XXI 3810 series. Specifically, they call the watch the Breguet Type XXI 3813 with the reference 3813PT/G2/3ZU.According to Breguet, this is the first time they have produced a Breguet Type XXI model in platinum. Question re luminescence
Has anyone had a GMT-Master II lose its luminescence? If so, what do you do? Can it be repainted? What is the lifetime of tritium/whatever they use for luminescence?Thanks in advanced for the feedback!

Sad shop
I went into a watchmakers today to get a bracelet resized. I had not been to this one before, and unfortunately it was a bit of a depressing experience. It started off when I asked if he resized bracelets, and he replied that he was a watchmaker. "Ummm, okaaaaay" I thought before he suddenly clicked and asked if it was a watch bracelet. Not a great start for me, a watchmaker not having that as a first thought.While he took them out the back to work on I had a look around the shop. Up on a shelf I saw many many books on watches and clocks, prices guides etc. But then as I looked around the store I realised that nearly all of the watches were lower end quartz offerings. Some were Seiko and Citizen, but even these were at the lower end of the Seiko chain. It seemed sad to me that someone who seemed to have this expertise and perhaps passion has ended up flogging cheap quartz watches.He did the work well enough I guess, but the whole experience did not fill me with confidence to take some
