Elgin Flea Market Mystery
When I saw this in a case with other junkers, Casio and the usual lot, I almost didn't notice it. $15.00 and thirty seconds after opening it, I was on my way back to the car. Now come the questions. Were 428 6/0size, 15 jewel movements used in wrist watches?Does this case date back to 1928?Are these the correct hands and dial? I'm fairly certain it has the wrong crystal because any angled light source makes it almost impossible to see the hands.

This is the other one that arrived last week. Always had my eye out for a 36mm smooth bezel DateJust with a two tone dial and as you can see this one fit the bill. It is a 2007 model in pretty good shape. I just need to get the crystal replaced due to a couple of nicks on the edges but I knew that going in. Generally I am not a huge fan of Rolex because they are so common but I don't see a lot of two tone dials like this one. Plus the resale is always high so I can flip it easily if I decide to move on.(Just noticed you can see my umbrella setup in the date window on this picture...sorry about that)

I was just on ebay and saw that there is a jeweler that is selling Michele watches far below the cost of all other jewelers. The seller on ebay is Arden Jewelers. Is this really authentic (and new) and would anyone order from ebay? Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this vendor.Thanks in advance.
