It took a little while for us to do the first show of 2012, but soon enough we will be back on schedule. Next week I leave for Geneva and will be gone a bit (but still posting of course). In this show we discuss Biver's stepping down at Hublot CEO, new Pilot watches from IWC. Hello All,I have an Omega Seamaster Quartz, Movement 1538 and when I try to tighten the crown down, my watch quits working, usually within a few minutes. If I push the crown down so it's past position 1 and just barely start to tighten it it works fine. It seems to me that somehow the stem may be shorting out the watch when it's screwed in all the way, but it's also strange that it doesn't stop working immediately when the crown is screwed in all the way. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be or how I could fix it myself before sending it off to service? Thanks,Justin

Hi Everyone,I am in the hunt for a an AP Royal Oak, though it is not for me but a gift. The recipient has a smaller wrist and tends to prefer smaller and more vintage/classically styled watches. In doing some cursory research and seeing some pieces in person I believe the 15202 is the one to get. Is that true? And on the 15202, is there a common or normal amount of discounting to be had at an AD? Like, should I expect at least 5% or 10%, or if I get 10% or 15% to jump at the deal? I'm experienced with watches but not buying a lot of them, and not buying any more than a Rolex Submariner. Any and all advice/input is greatly appreciated all wise forum group! Thanks!!
Hi,This is not so much a 'what do you prefer' thread - but more a question of how much more fragile the gold versions of the nautilus are.We all know the SS nautilus bezel is a scratch magnet - so I would imagine the similar gold bezel is even more prone to scratches...?Current or previous owners of both metals - can you share your experiences? Is/was the gold nautilus a special occasion watch - with the SS a daily driver? Or the gold version for work, change to SS for more casual? Did anyone 'downgrade' from gold to SS nautilus out of fear of scratches or other reasons? Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
