Ford Mustang VIN number 6F87CT85151 lived a rather average life. Born in early 1966, it toured the roads in style and power for years before it fell by the wayside after a minor accident. Left to sit in a field for far too long, what started as an easily repairable issue became unsalvageable as rust and decay set in. With a production run of over 600,000 in 1966 alone, it's by no means a unique story. Still, when talking about such an icon, it's always sad to see one fall through the cracks and become lost forever. Luckily for 6F87CT85151 and for the rest of us, the story didn't end there. problem finding bnib ploprof-need help
hi, i seem to be only willing to pull the trigger on 2 watch brands:omega and rolex.....ive had a ploprof 1200 on the radar for a while and can't seem to find one for sale bnib or close that isn't on ebay or something...would like to deal with a trusted seller....need suggestions...thanks amigos

Limited edition anniversary watches
Hi folks,Thought I'd share this: my AD has just celebrated their 150th anniversary. To commemorate this, Patek agreed to produce two special limited edition pieces for them. The watches are described as 5077-100G-013 and 5077-100G-018.The watches are crafted in 18ct white gold the gold dial is decorated with Art Deco sunflowers in cloisonn¨¦ enamel with inclusion of 49 silver and gold spangles. The Bezel and lugs are set with 113 diamonds (approx. 0.8 carats), and is presented on a blue alligator strap with a white gold pin buckle set with 29 diamonds (approx. 0.22 carats).Unfortunately I never managed to see them in person. They came in and were sold (both) to the same collector. I believe they were priced at $92k each.Greg

Previously Polished 5124g?
I have been looking at the 5124g for some time now. I absolutely love the watch; I think it's sensational. However, at $27.2k new, I think it's a bit much, especially considering what they go for pre-owned, and I have not found anyone willing to come off that price too much. However, a Patek AD I work with from time-to-time tells me they just got a pre-owned 5124g in from a collector. I asked why it wasn't on their website yet and the salesman said well, because it hasn't been serviced and polished yet. Most of my pre-owned knowledge comes from the world of Rolex, where polishing is very bad. I told him that if the watch was newer, and depending on condition, I would definitely want it unserviced and not polished. Am I just misinformed and this is standard protocol? This is a very reputable Patek AD. He gentleman also said that depending on if our watchmaker is allowed to work on it or not, it will go back to Patek in Manhattan, or stay here with our watchmaker.
