The back light is green , not blue. No count down timer. 10 year battery is really not rated for 10 years if you A. use alarm B. use the back light . Otherwise for $16 and change its a pretty sweet deal.

Any one have experience with Seiko service?
I posted this thread in the general board and other than one recomendation I think I will have to send them to Seiko. I am hoping someone on this forum can help me. I am going to call the place in NJ tomorrow. Are they expensive? Cheaper than going to a regular watch maker for perpetual calendar? Good service? Friendly? But on the mean time, I am wondering is there anything I should now about keeping the alligator strap? Alternatively, how long should I expect it to last if I wear the watch frequently? Starting where I left off last night with Seiko Solar Dive Chronograph.

Chrono subdials on ROOs
Just recently I noticed that the subdials at 9 and 12 are closer together than to the 6. Meaning they are not equally spaced.Anyone know why they would do this? I assume it has to do with the movement?Just think it is odd that they are not equally spaced, would look better if they were I think.
