Considering purchasing a Panerai while I'm here in the Caymans...few questions
I'm on a trip in the Caymans and I'm considering picking up a Panerai. I haven't really ever researched the brand that much other than admiring wrist shots of others wearing them on this sight. Here are a few questions:1. I have a 6.5 wrist. What models work best for a smaller wrist?2. As a Rolex owner, I understand the way business is done with Rolex discounts on different models. I am a compulsive buyer. I wanted one so bad two months ago, that if it was available at retail I would have bought it instantly. I currently own a Coke 16710, a TT 16713, and a most recent purchase of a brand new Deep Blue at the AD. All exceptional watches and a joy to wear and have. Time to step back. The waiting period has allowed me to look at things from a different perspective. If you have more money than you know what to do with, stop reading this now. I certainly don't and have a plethora of priorities as money to me is worth at least 7%. Why I chose the 216570 over the 114060
Hello everyone. Huge fan of this forum; my first post. I have done a lot of research, reading all of the wonderful and amazing reviews, posts, banter :) and good information this forum has to offer. I recently had the opportunity to purchase my first Rolex. I narrowed it down to the submariner 114060 non date and the polar explorer 216570. This was a very very very difficult decision. My wrist size is about 7.25. I want to share my opinions and insight for anyone else who may have had this dilemma. I also was very fortunate to be able to wear each one for one week; a generous offer from the brother in law. Here are my thoughts. The Submariner is just a beauty. The watch has everything anyone could ever want. I found the bezel to be simply amazing, full of life in the light. The glide lock is exceptional and I already miss it after one week. I prefer the size 40mm case. However, I had my eye on the polar explorer 42mm. How could I deny the incredible dial of this beautiful watch? The 2
