When formerly high-flying Swiss movement manufacturer BNB Concept sunk under the weight of its accounts receivable in January, Jean-Claude Biver swung into action, bringing BNB’s managing director Mathias Buttet and about 30 of his watchmakers to Hublot. Biver also acquired BNB’s entire machine base. These decisive steps place Hublot among the few brands that can independently design and produce even the most complex movements in-house. The group’s first new creation was shown at Baselworld. While at BNB, Buttet launched Confr¨¦rie Horlog¨¨re, a brand designed to allow talented young watchmakers to create the timepieces of their dreams. This concept will continue under the banner Confr¨¦rie Horlog¨¨re Hublot, and at Baselworld the group unveiled “Liberty” or Autant en emporte le temps, a reinterpretation of the pocket watch in the form of a gun cartridge, housing a tourbillon. Vintage Patek
Hi there,I'm a relative newbie when it comes to watches, but I stumbled across these two vintage Pateks in an antiques shop in London. Can anybody let me know anything about them? I was told the first one on the black strap belonged to the Turkish prime minister and dates back to around 1938. Does this seem plausible? There are on sale for about ¡ê3000 which seems a bit cheap for me considering they are in quite good condition so I am questioning their authenticity. Stainless steel (SS) is an alloy made primarily of iron, nickel, and a minimum of 10% chromium. There are 15 commonly used grades of SS out of 150+ varieties. Watch cases use less than a handful of these with the necessary combination of tensile strength, hardness, formability, corrosion resistance, and cosmetic appearance. 300 series alloys have the best mix of these traits. I'm pleased to announce that my watch-buying season has, once again & at long last, officially begun! Only this time, my complete list of planned aquistions are all watches that are necessary for me to order online because the ones I had decided upon were simply not available any other way in the area where I live. Having been bitten by the bug however, and with the funds at my disposal, I had the irresistable urge to drive over to the Galleria in St. Louis just to do a littleahemwindow shopping, if you will. Not really expecting to buy anything- of course -and seeing a Helzburg Diamond store, I thought it wouldn't hurt to have a look around.I should have known the danger in that, because as soon as I saw this Citizen Eco-Drive Chronograph with it's chocolate-brown dial, I knew I had been had!! Well...at least it will keep me company while I wait for the others to arrive by post!! :D

Well the title says it all, I really loved Pams for 1 year, until 6 months ago, but somehow the love passed away as I got other pieces and that's why I am selling my Pams as I hate to see great watches stay in the bank safe and not get any wrist time, to be clear I had only 1 good watch 1,5 year ago, a Rolex Sub c LN, after which I got a 233 dot dial, and it got a lot of wrist time, after I got a 28, and a 82 shadow case, in my book these are incredibly cool Pam pieces and they all got good writ time, may be wrong but don't think so.Since 6 months ago I purchased many pieces, a Daytona 116515 in rose gold with ceramic bezel, a BLNR from Rolex, a Blancpain L-Evolution alarm GMT, and the last a Patek 5712, I think that getting the Daytona and especially the Patek I couldn't wear big watches anymore, and felt a little ridiculous putting on my Pams, also the fact that I am selling my collection to go down to 3-4 pieces, the Patek, the Hulk, and either the BLNR or the Daytona, haven't decid
