- I returned this watch. It is nice looking, but I didn't want to have to push a button every time I wanted to know what time it is. I also found it hard to set.

U-Boat 2278 wrist watches news:
Each year I help promote a watch Get Together in San Francisco. This year the event will be held in Carmel California. When: August 7th, 5:00PMWhere: Carmel, CaliforniaAll are welcomed to a great time to discuss watches, as well as see some rarely seen Rolex watches. There is always great discussion and commentary as well as a great dinner. This event is limited to 40 people included spouses. Plenty of information to share. PM me at sheldonsmith for details and reg info(My wife thinks I am planning my own little watch Rave...well maybe) -Sheldon
There was an extremely rare Special Model A on eBay the night before last. Knowing only a few guys would know what it was, I tried to make a deal with the seller, but didn't move fast enough. At least it's now in a giant collection on the left coast.
Well, after having had a bad experience a few years ago with a Rubberclad, my faith in AP was restored earlier this year at a private dinner to show some grand complication watches. I did hit a bump in the road having a Rolex Submariner scammed off me (https://.rolexforums/showthre...08#post4617808 ), but after selling my Daytona on a strap (https://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=191442 ) and selling the blue dialed Yacht Master, I found a bit of funds to get this watch.I like the fact that it can be dressed up and down and that it flies under the radar. It may not be the latest limited edition offshore (kind of a put off for me...), but it suits me perfectly. Plan to enjoy it for quite some time.
I wondered if anyone knows what the proper setting on a winder is for a speedy. Looking around I found reference to 700-800 clockwise only. Thanks for any ideas.Mike
what are people's opinions on these are they any good? does it defeat the object to buy a new vintage watch? i have fancied an vintage original sm300 for a while now but have just been offered a watchco one and i kind of understand why the new one is good with the luminova dial and hands and the saphire crystal etc but will i always regret not buying an original if i buy the watchcoalso what are they like to resell if i do buy it and just cant live with it?it is the date model by the way if that makes a difference to price or desirability of the watch any help would be greatly appreciated
