How many of you have & like Kintetic watches?...I love these Seiko sports
Kinetic's, and while I've never owned one of these or the prior other similar examples, I have owned 1 Orient made Kinetic diver specially made for the "PADI" Master dive Instructors program, which were a limited edition watch in 2 various dial colors being Royal PADI blue and Black which were ISO rated and certified at 200 meters. Sweet!Here's the Seiko Sports 200m 5M43 Kinetic diver, just love everything about this discontinued awesome looking diver Raised polished metalic indices filled to the brim with super luminova and very nice finely finished hands and a beautiful blue sunray dial with a sapplex crystal I believe, screw down crown and caseback, and a raised polished bordered day/date window, in a 44+ mm beefy width Stainless Steel highly polished case, powered by a decent 5M43 Kinetic movement which can be ungraded with a newer Ti-Li-ion Capacitor energy cell to power these watches out to a 6 month power reserve on a full winding charge. So what are your thoughts on the Kineti

Just Arrived: 27 Jewel 761 Automatic Elgin (title corrected)
UPDATE: Coming home, I noticed my "Lord" Elgin only said Elgin on it. I was going to PM Genejockey and ask him about this and as if he was reading my mind, he posted below pointing out my error and explaining that the 761 movement was used in Elgins. So, I've corrected that title and post to reflect the correct name of the watch. After getting burned by a recent Gruen purchase, I researched this one a little more extensively and had a back and forth with the seller. Of course, the person could say anything, but in this case, the watch exceeded their description.This is an Elgin (1959-1964?) with, what to me, looks like a near mint dial with a smooth white/pearl outer ring which surrounds a brushed center that catches and reflects light. The hands are clean as well. The hour markers at 1,2, 4, 5, 7,8,10, and 11 are multifaceted, with some surfaces brushed, and other polished. The end result is that these markers reflect lights almost as if they were diamonds or some other crystal.T

deployant fit/placement problems?
for those who have the oem deployant on the speedy, does the curve fit perfectly on the round edge of ur wrist, or does the end of the enclosure end up digging in cuz the length doesn't quite line up?i briefly tried on a fake version awhile back, seem to recall the fit was not as flat and comfortable as i had hoped. ditched the idea and went with a double deployant.the double's placement is much better and doesn't dig into the wrist.... however it does add considerable more bulk between the strap and skin, far more than the omega deployant.wanted to hear of others' experiences, as I'm contemplating giving it another go...perhaps i was too hasty the first time around.

I'm planning a purchase of a new watch. Currently I have the 16600 Sea-Dweller.
