Omega 232.32.46.21.01.005 wrist watches news:
My first vintage watch that got me interested in collecting was a Wittnauer auto with a AS 1361 11arg movement which dates to some time in the mid 50's I believe. When I got this watch I never knew about restoring, servicing, cleaning, dial refinishing, replacing the hands, the list goes on. This is a very plain little watch but I actually like wearing it, feels weightless on the wrist. My problem now is after reading about other members watches got me wondering if the dial on this watch is as bright as it should be, it does seem quiet dark but maybe this is the way it should be. I assume the radium hands need to be replaced, the lume it gone and they look a little worse for wear. Is this a watch that I should consider trying to clean the dial myself if needed and also it it a tough job to replace the hands for a beginner. The hour markers are silver coloured coated but seem invisible on the dial at the moment, but the colour is ok maybe it is just lost on a dirty dial ? The case is st
Hi can anyone help,i have just been left 2 watches by a great uncle in Liverpool UK,first is a Tho Russell & Son gold wrist watch with a 1939 engraving on the back. And the second is a Tudor Oyster.Any information and a rough value will be appreciated.Thank you.
Hi All, I've recently left Rolex for which I had a Deepsea, then a Sub Hulk 2013 which I have now traded against a UB012721 Rose Gold Navitimer 46mm on Croc brown strap New! Straight swap!I couldn't resist the Navi, it's always had a draw on me since my friend got one, it's a absolute beaut!Have I made a wise decision?
I thought it migh be a good idea to start with the Category of Calatrava. A thread to discuss the merits of those Calatrava's we like the best.Remember there are no winners and there certainly are no losers.Just a discussion of which Calatrava's we like and why.Pictures are a must whenever possible, remember it's awfully hard to discuss the beauty of something without a picture. There are 26 models in this category, who would like to start?
Ok I am looking for a watch that I can jump in my pool with and not worry too much about it.The model I am looking at is like this watch .ebay/itm/Panerai-Lumi...item43cbee034aOk so can someone explain this model to me. What I mean is Panerai has so many models your head can spin. 120 means?? Good inner workings??Basically if you can tell me if this model is worthwhile or to look at something else. I don't want to wind up with the Panerai that nobody wants, thinking of resale. How would the 40mm wear compare to say a Sub?I appreciate the help! Thanks
