Enjoy!Seiko has a rich history in the world of dive watches, and it’s safe to say that none is as iconic as the venerable Seiko 6105-8110/9 (aka 6105-811X). It is the definitive Seiko diver, and it holds it’s own against the other iconic divers of the 1970’s. This is known as Seiko’s 3rd generation diver, following the 6217 (aka 62mas)?and the slimmer 6105-8000/9. The 6105-8110 and 6105-8119 are exactly the same, but the last digit in the reference number indicates in which market the watch was originally sold.The 6105-811X was made from 1970-1977, and came in two slight variations. I was saving for a PAM in 07, to commemorate a special occassion. My Dad started me on this tradition, and I contiune to celebrate special events with these miniature marvels of engineering.Along the search, Liz asked me if there was anything more obscure or boutiquey that I might consider. She know's my penchant for the path less traveled.Reading, research, hours on the web, and I come to meet Steve Burns of About Time Jewelers. I had decided that I had found my dream watch and it wasn't a PAM. It was an Anonimo. Steve helped educate me further on the brand and it's story, and the rest is history. I think I am the only Anonimo in WTF so I decided it was the perfect selection for my next review. Case: The case may be the most special aspect of the watch. It is scooped out of a block of steel, as opposed to pressed, in a time honored Italian tradition. The thinking is that pressing somehow distorts the molecules and that scooping is a truer art form. I was reading an article today and found this. " If your watch is running 2 minutes faster every month, this is what you should do: Lay it vertical with the crown facing down as this will tend to loose a few seconds each night. If it's running slow, lay it flat with the dial facing up"have anyone try this method before

Any truth to this?
My local AD sales guy claims that Patek makes about 30,000-40,000 watches a year and only 5% are stainless steel watches. On top of that, around 90% of those SS watches are the women's model Twenty 4. I had a hard time believing that, but he was adamant that he was correct. I know 40,000 watches seems about right. But 5% SS would mean about 2,000 SS watches between all models. Even if half produced were the Twenty 4, that would leave only 1,000 for all Nautilus and Aquanaut models.Anyone ever heard this??
