As you may have saw, went to the AD to get the wife a new Datejust.. Well, picked her out one and negotiated a great price off the 'old' price.. Just couldn't pass it up Getting ready to check out I jokingly asked if he'd match that discount (over 15%! ) on one of the Rolex Sports watches. His reply, which one?? I said how about the 40mm platinum Yacht-Master (I just knew he wouldn't- I've never seen discounts over 10% here). He scrunches his face & says 'let me check'.. A few minutes later he says YES! My jaw drops. So -knowing I'll never get a new one for that price again, I instantly say yes too. Price off the 'new' prices - almost 30%!! That's the power of an AD relationship!! So - walked out with a Datejust for the missus, and another Yacht-Master for me. I still can't believe I got myself another one.. Remember - no new watches for me in '08.. Yea - so much for that!!! A local AD's display case this morning...
Haven't seen a display case this plentiful in a while it feels like. JC, BLNR, SS SkyD alongside the SS GMT, ND Sub and DSSD. Apparently yesterday they even had a Hulk on display but it went quickly.
