Invicta 13903 wrist watches news:
I've been lurking here for a while, and made a few posts on another forum, but I've decided now that I have a decent watch, it's time to join in here as well. Six months ago I picked up a nice Seiko Kinetic, and I was so naive that I thought it was some new technology that had just recently came out. I still love it; it's accurate, looks good, feels solid, is trouble-free and much less gimmicky than other Seikos I've seen. I started to get more interested in watches in general, and after months of waiting to have the $$$, and trying to decide what I wanted, I finally got this Longines Master collection watch. Why do I love this watch so much? Well, I knew that I wasn't much interested in divers or pilots, and I was tired of black dials in general, which most of my earlier quartz watches had. I didn't want any complications, I just wanted a plain, neat face and a watch that did nothing but tell the time (well, the date too, I guess). The less stuff going on, the less things that can go w
For those in the Boston area there will be a GTG for us watch geeks. We will be having lunch and then visiting some AD's. Talking watches and viewing other WIS collections. The date is May 25th at 12:00pm. We will be meeting at Joe's Bar & Grill on Newbury Street. If you would like to attend please respond to this post or PM me. Thanks and hope to see some of you there.
I know that it's not a Rolex but I am sure that many of you will appreciate this vintage omega i picked up yesterday. Let me know what you think. Cheers!
Glad to finally be part of this esteemed group! I got a 5712R as my first and quickly realized this isn't a Rolex. For one, I read you have to jam a screwdriver to manually change moonphase. If the watch runs out of power reserve and you set it again with the crown, will the moonphase update with it?Also this watch is on a strap, which is my first also. Do these Pateks offer solid water resistance? If I accidentally leave the crown open, is it still waterproof like a Rolex? Is it ok to jump in the pool?If I need to service my Patek, is there a local Service Center like Rolex does in Beverly Hills? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
