It’s been a big week for “American Idol’s” Randy Jackson. Not only is “AI” fandom abuzz over his future as a judge on the popular musical competition program, but this week also saw the launch of a new business venture for the famously watch-loving Jackson ¡ª Timepieces by Randy Jackson, a new line of watches (most of them affordably priced at $99 to $499) that will initially be sold on cable TV’s HSN Home Shopping Network. A New Discovery About the 16710-3186
On Friday evening I foolishly drove about 40 miles south to Cincinnati to the nearest mall with an Apple store in search of the new iPhone. There was a 3 hr. line, and they were running low on the 16gb black model (which I bought the next day at an AT&T store. ). While I was at this mall, I went in to their Rolex AD and found an interesting discovery. I found a Pepsi bezel 16710, early M series (3xxxxx) that had traditional Roman numeral markers. For me, this was extremely signficant. This has been the first confirmation that I have held in my hands that BOTH stick and Roman numeral dial 16710's exist in the M serial. Based on the wiggle test, I do not believe this particular M serial had the 3186 movement either. This would seem to underscore the truly limited production nature of the 16710-3186 models during the late Z and M series production.

Tennis & Golf versus AirKing
I recently visited the Rolex service centre to do a servicing for my old datejust, and met a guy who was claiming his airking to the cust. service. He complained that the his airking always 10+ minutes late after a day or two. He admited that he use the watch on right wrist while he is playing golf and tennis, which the service guy explained it to him that that was the cause of the problems. Anybody has any experience on this ? I m now a bit carefull not to use my expII for any sport activity ,,,, which i think sport watches should be for "sports" , do you think ? cheers :-)

Been debating buying my wife one of these. We're both pretty tall, she's about 5'10 and the 36mm size is her preference. I see these models in good condition around $10k, which looks like a fair price for a solid gold model. Can someone help me out with a background on these? How does the bracelet, clasp, movement, etc. compare to current models?For a woman looking for a 36mm watch, would this be a good choice? Any insight on this would be much appreciated.TIA!!
