Jacob & Co. AC-M5 wrist watches news:
So after a few days, is the romance still strong? Have you taken it off yet? ;)Mine makes me smile every morning, and sit still in meetings, because I am timing each speaker and writing down their "air-time". I am coming to the conclusion that the value of a person's opinion has an inverse relationship to the amount of time they spend expounding it.
Post your Avengerswould particularly love to see one with a silver face. Also, blue-faced Skylands.
I tried on this one at Macy's todayand I have to say, I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. For it being so huge and well, huge, it fit really well and wasn't as burdensome as I imagined a watch that big would be. It was likely due to the super light weight of the watch relative to its size, or maybe the lack of a crown. I had a 47mm Invicta diver that I ended up getting rid of because of the size - too big for me. There will DEFINITELY be a Riseman in my near future. As soon as I start getting paid from my new job.
I'm selling my Grand Speedway, and when I went to pack it up in the original box etc., I noticed the date was a day off. When I went to set the date, it wouldn't change, and while turning the crown, it felt as though something was stripped internally. I could tell it was trying to turn the date over, but wouldn't do it.Has anyone else had this happen? If so, is it a fairly cheap fix or should I just tell the buyer it's broke and throw the watch away? I refuse to sell damaged goods, so I was going to swing by my watchmaker to have it repaired, but he isn't in on Mondays. I've only worn the watch a handful of times since buying it several months ago, and haven't set the time/date since I first received it. Not sure what caused this, but it's frustrating. Just glad it did to me before the buyer bought it and had the problem shorty after receiving it.
After a couple of years of intending to pick up a Ball, I finally picked up a Hydrocarbon Magnate. Just got it yesterday and so far I'm quite impressed!
