- one thing the watch is missing is a automatic via time set that would be a plus that casio could add to this watch other than that i like the watch looks nice i never really use the temp feature because i use my wireless device

The Q&D's as Nelson and Paul had the DSLR's going faster then I could absorb info and snap with the iPhone.Date January 15Kirin Restaurant located in downtown Vancouver Organizer Jwon Suh did a fantastic job with venue, sponsorship, and taking the initiative of making this first 'Risti event happen. Awesome signs posted throughout by Wade.Name tags came in handy for meeting the new and remembering the regulars from previous gatherings. In addition, the out of town guests from south of the border (Seattle Paneristi forum regulars et al) made this event extra special.Lia, Nelson & ShannonSam designed and had the GTG shirts printed in two days!Joan, Ray, Lisa, MikeWhen the 30+ guests sat down for the set course menu, we begin to realize it's more about the people and their lives that makes GTG's so enjoyable! What to buy: RT Airspeed XL vs Ball Fireman II
Hey guys, Considering my first "high end (for me)" watch purchase. Got it narrowed down to pretty much two choices. They are:Revue Thommen Airspeed XL, eta 2834Ball Fireman II (green), eta 2824-2Both are approx $1000usd. Just looking for some general feedback. Any preference on the movements? Any other watches you'd consider in the same price range? Which watch gives the most bang for the buck in your opinion? Small wrist with BIG Planet Ocean
I have a 6.5 inch wrist and am in two minds as to getting the 45.5mm Seamaster Planet Ocean (PO) or the smaller 42mm PO.Does anyone have any comments to share about getting the larger PO for a smaller wrist?Is it uncomfortable to wear in the long run? (the 5 min at the AD doesn't really help a lot).Alternatively, pics of wrist shots with smaller wrists would be appreciated.Thanks...

Vintage versus Modern Patek Philippe
As you will see from my recently created vintage Patek Philippe watches, I am considering getting on and after watching such sites as Chrono24, I find that there are quite a few vintage Pateks that are reasonably priced, and for a few thousand British pounds, gets you a watch from one of the top brands in the world.This started other questions bouncing around in my head. Lets classify a vintage piece of being at least 40 years old1) Would a vintage Patek Philippe have required more personal involvement -handmade then a modern piece?2) Would a vintage piece require more frequent servicing then a modern watch?3) Is servicing costs of a modern piece cheaper then a vintage watch? 4) What other pros & cons should you consider before choosing vintage or modern?Please dip in with your own thoughts?
