- This watch is really lovely, the only blem is with the clasp, it is quite difficult getting it to open when you want to take it off. Otherwise, it is quite beautiful, and has a classic look to it.

Jacob & Co. JC-M24 wrist watches news:
Hi all,Just wondering: if you had to keep just ONE watch from your collection, and you could never own or wear another, which one would it be?Odd question perhaps, but I am just interested in seeing how people relate to their timepieces. Maybe I'm just searching for confirmation that my watch obsession is not freakish! For the record it would be a hard choice for me, but in the end I would take my SMP 2250.50 because of sentimental value (gift from wife) and the fact that it is one hell of a watch!
The first watch Hamilton produced after WWII was the Vancott. Some specifications:Production Date: 1946 - 1947Price When New: UnknownCase: 10K Gold Bezel and Stainless Steel Back (This is the first Hamilton watch to use two different types of metals)Case Manufacturer: S&W (Schwab & Wuischpard)Production for this Variation: 2,918 (Hamilton records indicate that not all Vancott's produced may have been released sighting "awaiting technical OK" [for the 987-S]. This may explain why the Vancott is so rarely found)Movement: 987S - 17-jewel Movement (with "hack" feature)Pic/info: VintageSource
I have been wanting this watch since I first saw it released. After finally deciding to pull the trigger, who else but DavidSW to provide

Do the costs associated with servicing a Rolex differ between models? For example, the Sub no date has less going on inside it than say the SkyDweller. If both watches went to Rolex for serving, would it be more expensive for the SkyDweller if both watches were simply getting cleaned up and regulated?
