Dear Rolex-Fans, as it is the first time I attend please let me introduce myself. I��m from Germany (therefore please excuse my english) and since more than 30 years I��m collecting wrist watches. Possibly some of you know me already from the german Rolexforum or TZ, for those the following stories might be boring. Rolex was always my favourite watch, but I was also and am still interested in Omega, Breitling and all type of Chronographs. So I started 1975 with a Breitling Chrono-Matic Ref. 2110 which is still in my hands today and it is keeping perfect time after an overhaul at Breitling in Switzerland. My first Rolex came in 1979 and was a gift from my father for finishing school with the german so called ��Abitur��, which gives the right to start at University. The Rolex choosen by me was absolutely uncommon at that time: it was an Explorer II Ref. 1655/0 with an engraving on the back ��Abitur 1979��. The dealer where it was bought (Bucherer in St. Moritz) had to take firstly a look into

Rolex Warranty Paper...Need Advice, please!
Hi everyone. I am new here and really need some advice.I am thinking about buying a Mens Datejust from one seller. To the eyes, the dial is "blue with diamonds". However, the Rolex warranty paper (that will also come with the watch) only indicates "DIAL: BLUE VIGNETTE SERTI" without mentioning anything about diamonds. My question: Does the Rolex warranty paper always have to indicate that the dial has diamonds if the watch, a Datejust in particular, has a factory diamond dial?I am afraid that I will be buying a watch with aftermarket diamonds that will make me very disappointed.Please please help educate me. 40mm PAM...Bad Choice??
Still looking for my white faced watch (sigh) and my choices are slim. Rolex has the Explorer II and Panerai has two, the 113 and a 40mm white dial with a date.I have two Rolex at 40mm and various Omega's ranging from 41mm to 45mm (Planet Ocean Chrono). I really don't want another big watch so the 40mm would fit the bill...or I am I wrong???How does a 40mm PAM compare to an Explorer II at 40mm? Does the PAM appear bigger with or without the bezel?I don't have a PAM dealer here where I live so I have to rely on pictures. If you have them it would be great.

Considering 312 :: How Does It Wear?
Hey Guys,I've been looking around for a new Panerai to join my PAM000, something with a little more going on than my beloved yet plain base model. I've settled on the 312, as it has a lot of what I'm looking for - 1950 case, sandwich dial, automatic in-house mvmt, display case back, seconds hand, etc. However it seems to be thicker than the 000? Does it wear larger than the 000 (or similar models) or does it feel pretty much the same?At 44mm my Zero is my absolute limit, size-wise, thus my concern. With my 6.5 wrist would I be better off with a 392/1392?(I have tried on the 392 and 1392, but not a 312 yet.)Thanks guys!
