Breitling AB042011/G745SS wrist watches news:
So - you see this at a Buy It Now auction for $300....W A Y to good to be true. But, greed kicks in and you want to believe you're going to get the bargain of a lifetime - so you go for it....mitted to the auction then did a bit of research. The seller has 28 transactions and the only sales have been during the past week. So no time for feedback yet; the sold items wouldn't have reached the buyers. In addition to this Vega, sales have included a Putnam and a few character watches, all at BIN auctions. So they've been desirable items going for attractive prices. Another thing is that there is no common feature to the sellers photos; no common background or anything - I'd expect to see something repeated in each image. Sent a message to the vendor asking if the photo was of the exact item - got a one word reply "Tes" - which I gathered is a typo for "Yes".Gonna be very interesting to see if this is kosher. Hopefully I'm not dealing with a hijacked ebay account and that I don't hav
Some random thoughts:The pictures, as with most Patek watches, cannot show the actual brilliance of the dial art.I find the watch to be absolutely magnificent. Many have complained about the engraved name and city, in pictures it stands out, but in real life it is not even noticeable.I have large wrists and this size fits very well and is very comfortable to wear. As all that have 5130 series and earlier world time versions it is also a fun watch to wear. All the dials on the 5131J are done by one person, there is a second person doing the dials on the 5131G, and as they are done by hand each is a little different.
I have a Rolex 14060M that I love, simple and clean. I also have an Omega 2254.50. Both watches are black divers and to me look very similar. The Omega is at the spa right now at a cost of $400. Should I keep the watch now that it will be like new or sell it to fund another watch. Would I get any more for the watch with the recent service from Nesbit Service Center, which comes with a 2 yr warranty.ThanksJohn
Greetings from a newbie, I have a beginner's question. I have always worn inexpensive Seiko watches but I am ready to buy something nice. I can't afford a Submariner so I am going to purchase an Omega Seamaster 300 M shortly after Christmas. There are 2 Omega ADs in my city of 1 million peeps and, oddly enough, they are located about 100 feet from each other. I visited them today and both mentioned the same MSRP of $3400. At the first store (Tourneau) the salesman said they did not put items on sale but he would work with me on the price. Since I wasn't buying it today I didn't ask for the exact amount of the discount. I visited the 2nd store (Bailey Banks & Biddle) and as soon as they found out that I'd already been to the Tourneau across the walkway they immediately offered me a 20% discount on the same watch -actually, on any watch they had in the store - good for today only. I feel like I've been car shopping. Anywho, what can I expect as a reasonable discount on a new
But here goes...I travel a lot on business and pleasure, to major cities in the US and Europe, never have any reservations about jewelry or a nice watch on my wrist. Next month I¡¯ll be in Frankfurt, Munich and London with a long weekend in Bologna, Italy. That¡¯s where I¡¯m uncertain, never been before, traveling by myself. I¡¯m undecided - SS DateJust, fluted/oyster, Explorer or Breitling Avenger on blue rubber strap. Not losing sleep over it, just curious what other travelers think. Thanks.
