Jaeger LeCoultre Jaeger LeCoultre 45247 wrist watches news:
Okay, so I'm considering a Seamaster Chrono Diver and one thing that gives me pause is the Caliber 1165 which is a re-worked Valjoux 7750. It's a bit inelegant, heavy, and I even hear you can feel it wobble on your wrist. That said it is quite the rugged and reliable workhorse and as a result is used extensively by many manufacturers. Not sure how extensively Omega modifies it for their use - some claim less, some claim more, but for some reason it bugs me a little that there are $500.00 watches out there with the same basic Valjoux movement. Outsourcing a movement is fine for say Hamilton, but with a timepiece in the class of Omega I eel I should expect more. Am I out of my head here? Also, I have to wonder if Omega is not developing a replacement for the Cal 1165. I have nothing to base that on other than my gut, and I understand there are impediments to bringing a new chronograph movement into production, but I have to think that would be in Omega's sights sooner rather than later. I'm trying to find the short spring bars that fit the pilot bracelet used on the 43.7mm Chronomats (22mm at lugs). When doing a strap change, I lost one. There are two spring bars that are located where the polished hinge that says BREITLING meets the clasp. I've spent hours looking online and trying to find a part number and my local dealer has struggled to find the part as well. It seems to be a proprietary product in which you can't buy spares anywhere else as they do not exist. I called the AD the watch came from and spent about $60 on 5 spring bars they shipped to me...half of which were the wrong products, none of which were the short ones I asked for, and they called me after shipping the product to tell me they did not charge me the correct amount and that they would charge the difference to my card in which I told them I was sending the 'underpriced' parts back for a refund. They weren't even the right parts.I called Breitling USA and asked if I could purchase one or if they c
I started seriously looking at watches again around the same time nola did and now I feel like im ready to move up a bit in prices. I want to see what people think would be a good watch in the neighborhood of $400-600. It has to be something versatile that looks good with jeans and a t-shirt or a suit, currently own:2 seiko 51 alpha1 vostok1 orient1 hamilton(vintage)2 cheap chinese knock offs
Hey guys I'm looking at an Elgin FG 80048 I thinkWhat's the skinny on Elgin?
Finally got the correct locking "dive" bracelet for my Autavia GMT sorted. The bracelet was immaculate but the spring bars were all shot and needed replacing, which Duncan @ Genesis Watchmaking kindly took care of for me. I know some prefer leather straps on these and whilst I do love the Delaurian Black Widow strap on mine I've always been a bracelet man and this being the correct bracelet for this watch makes it all the more satisfying.Sooo, here she is in all her resplendent glory!!
