Jaeger LeCoultre Q1748771 wrist watches news:
IWC has secured another starring role on the big screen, this time in Oliver Stone¡¯s upcoming film Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. Watches from Schaffhausen land on the wrists of both lead actors: Michael Douglas as the notorious Gordon Gekko and Shia LaBeouf as the innovative Jacob Moore. The film is the long-awaited sequel to Stone’s 1987 Academy Award-winning Wall Street. LaBeouf’s character is a well-educated, talented, driven trader with a passion for the finer things in life. He wears the IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar, Ref. IW502303. Gekko, just out of prison and trying to save Wall Street from the financial meltdown he foresees, wears the IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Edition Kurt Klaus in rose gold, Ref. IW376205.The film co-stars Josh Brolin, Carey Mulligan, Frank Langella, Eli Wallach and Susan Sarandon. Opening September 24.Click the image below to visit the film’s official website.
Response to Lange’s award-winning Zeitwerk has been so strong that the watchmakers in Glash¨¹tte are having trouble keeping up with demand. If you’re waiting anxiously for yours to be delivered, or if you just want a cool new app for your iPhone, Lange has something for you – the Zeitwerk iPhone app. Explore the watch in different colors, spin the watch around, and zoom in to explore details up close. The app even lets you disassemble different areas of the watch using the touch screen. The app lets you receive news from the manufacture. It also includes a gallery displaying the Lange collection, and of course you can use it to locate points of sale. You can also register for an exclusive information service that lets you send questions directly to Glash¨¹tte. To download the app, visit iTunes and search “lange sohne”.
This thread may be more for those of us who actually remember when the "normal size" for a wristwatch was 38mm and under but some of the younger guys may appreciate it also.(BTW the average size was 38mm less than 10 years ago!)I own many loved watches that are well over 38mm and one in particular is one of my grails.(Omega PO at 45.5mm)I actually have nothing at all against watches of the XL variety and in many cases they would look funny if they were smaller because ,these days, they are designed to be BIG.One thing that bothers me is when the manufacturer puts a "normal" movement in a BIG case, esp a chrono movement.I recently saw a new Luminox model like this and it looked great, yet upon closer inspection, the subdials are "lost" in the dial due to the fact that although the case is 46mm the movement-and thus the placement of the subdials-are not asthetically compatible. The subdials are way too close to the center of the dial and there is no symmetry.Same with some automatic movement
42mm and 45.5mm? Seems to me there is not that much difference? They even both have the 8500 movement in it?I don't see the need. Can someone explain. Does omega have an excess of 42mm cases that they are using up or something?
Greeting to fellow Speedy Pro owners!I observed a weird behavior on my Speedy Pro when the chronograph is used. The counting hand seems to skip a second or two every so often. In other words, the counting hand would stay at a particular second marker for two seconds, skip the next marker and jump directly to the one after that. Is it normal for a Speedy Pro?
