Just in: Lord Elgin Direct Read (Jump Watch)
Finally won one on the bay within my budget.After buffing it out, the case has no wear through on the gold filling that I can find. There are the scratches.Even the brushed finish below the chevron is still there.The case is 14k gold filled and this one has the 21 jewel 719 movement. The hour and minutes dials are in good shape, with just a bit of yellowing on the minute one. The hour disc is white as snow. It runs and sets great. I put it on a suede period strap, mostly because that is what I had that fit ; )I did order a new crystal, as the current one is a bit clouded and buffing only removed a bit of it.The only issue is that the hour and minutes are off by just a bit, but it will have to wait in rotation for a trip to the watch tech.

Black face, closed back, date at 4:30 only complication. Currently on a hirsh faux carbon fibre strap as I got fed up with the Blancpain deployment rubber straps deteriorating quickly.Zenith Elite Gold watch with Sunburst Gold dial, display back, second hand in subdial at 6, date at 3. On brown alligator strapCorum Gold watch, manual movement. Don't really know the model, but it has a curved concave back for comfort on the wrist, and an unusual varied depth to the watch face, enabling this to remain completely flat. I've been wearing this combo for a few days now, and I have to say, I really like it. Not only does it look great (IMO), but it's also very comfortable.
