Jaeger LeCoultre 1898120 wrist watches news:
This Bring A Loupe will be dedicated entirelely to everyone's favorite complication, the chronograph. You will find an extremely rare (and very exotic looking) Zenith El Primero, the reference G383, produced in only 200 examples in 1970. We also scoured eBay in order to find some relatively affordable chronographs, most of them under $1,000. As you might expect, no Heuer or Universal Geneve made it this week given our budget constraint, but you will discover some other really exciting watches from Wittnauer, Minerva, and Mathey-Tissot. This is your Bring A Loupe for February 19, 2016. A Minerva Chronograph Reference VD712 With A Better Dial Than It Seems 1 OF 8 This Minerva is a good example of a nice looking three-register chronograph that does not break the bank. The Minerva VD712 is powered by the famous Valjoux 72 (also found in vintage Rolex Daytonas) and apparently this chrono was even used by the Swedish army – you can find some great shots of the
Hey guys, I've been looking for a watch for my wife as a birthday present. She mentioned she likes smaller watches (so I'm thinking 32mm face MAX. She also said she likes the date in their in some way or another. The movement that comes to mind is a Ronda 705 which should hit both criteria. However, I don't want to pay crazy money (hope she isn't reading this) on a swiss made version, because tbh she wouldn't appreciate it much anyway.I basically want to know firstly if the movement is any good for a nice little womans fashion watch, and secondly what sort of price would be good value for say, a piece made in china but with the Ronda 705 movement driving it? Any help would be appreciated, it isn't her birthday until late march but I'd like yo get sorted sooner rather then later haha Thanks in advanceDB
Hello all,I have always been into vintage Rolexes and Omegas. Never considered a AP until now. However the Royal Oak has been growing on me every time I see it. I have heard though, that they are not as robust as, say, a Sub for daily wear. Combine that with the fact that service cost for an AP is much higher than what RSC charges (which is already thievery IMO), I am interested to know what you as owners of the RO feel. I am looking at the 15300 or even the 14790. My wrists are 6.75 and I also tend to gravitate towards smaller watches.
Got a call from my AD. My first Rolex-the hulk- is here. So excited. I can't believe it only took 3 weeks. Will post pictures next week.
Hi Everyone:I am getting an opportunity to buy a hulk or batman directly from an AD, they have a shipment coming in February. So the big question is: what would you pick? Batman or Hulk? Hulk I am getting for $ 8750 and the Batman for $ 8700, so not a big difference in price....please advise...
